81. New to PvP side - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
they can be vicious.. but specialised. a blackbird is possibly the most annoying thing in a T1 cruiser hull I've ever had to deal with, and the AML Caracal is death to pretty much anything with a cruiser hull.

Edited by: Abram Thrust on 04/05/2010 03:44:15 or think of it this way: Just because amarr ships tend to be slow and thick, doesn't mean they have to be. Just because Porsche tends to make hellla quick sports cars with the engine in the wrong...

87. Where to fight? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I second the RvB suggestion. If you can't leave corp with your main, just make a quick and dirty alt and set aside a week or two to train him up for the T1 frig of your choice, then join up with the alt. you can get a good deal of Real Life skill...

90. So, I lost my first ship.... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
also, since I'm suprised no one's mentioned it, perhaps yo uand your friend should join Red vs. Blue. we're two perma-wardeced highsec corps, lots of targets, and a little safer than lowsec (we don't pod members) and there's always someone who'll...

91. Ratting in low-sec - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
AB is good, MWD has this nasty habit of blowing your sig radius up to the point where that BC rat can tag you.. and of god it hurts. word of advise from someone who used to lowsec rat: lead the rats out far away from the "warp to zero" point of...

92. where is it good to start to pvp - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
if you're a complete PvP noob, RvB is the way to go, it's safer that going to lowsec (no podding) and there's always someone who can teach you stuff if you ask. join up for a few weeks, then when you're confidant, you can just leave and head off...

93. Simple way to boost solo PVP - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
also, disregarding the points raised by the two people above me, you'd need to make a killmail have some way to diffentiate between "solo PvP" and for instance, Undock gankin/docking games. at present I don't think the killmails have that abillity

95. What is a 1v1? - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
there's only one time I've had a 1 on 1 "draw" I was trying out an Arty Rifter (it didn't work) and the other guy was in an AC Punisher with point/web no speed mod. after dancing for a couple minutes I couldn't break his tank, and he couldn't hi...

96. The Pirate Industrial? - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
something to consider: if you're going to be spending extended periods in lowsec, It might not be a bad Idea to get some basic PvP experiance. not that you're going to kill anyone as an industrial pilot, but more to make yourself a harder target...

97. Merlin vs Rifter - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Edited by: Abram Thrust on 21/01/2010 18:59:33 I'd also advise the MWD-long range merlin. a lot of rifters are AB fit, and while the rifter's a quick ship, in't not quick enough to catch a MWD equipped ship. Kite him and grind him down, unle...

98. Newbie afterburner question - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
as long as you're still within optimal + 1/2 falloff and not missing due to transversal, you should be fine either way. now IIRC esp with low skills you will hit noticably harder with the afterburner off, mostly useful when you're tight orbiting ...

99. Solo PVP Help :C - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
RvB (red vs blue) will likely suit your needs. very low SP low wallet friendly, and most nights there's a fleet of some kind up, or failing that you can almost always throw down the challange for a 1v1 if you're in a real hurry. ingame channel's ...

100. What is the best introduction to PVP? - in Warfare & Tactics [original thread]
I can vouch for RvB being excellent for new folks, you don't need a huge wallet, T1 frigs/dessies/cruisers are the order of 90% of the time, and we do try to keep thing relatively balanced and interesting. Ingame channel's R-V-B, join the channel...
